PART 03: fighting cats allergy the natural way!!

this post is about cat litter.. if you are eating or drinking, you may want to skip it :)

i was only concern about cats hair. i groom noa & ash, clean up rooms,
and run a HEPA-filter air cleaner.
yes, these simple things help reducing my cat allergy problems very much.
i’ve never think about cat’s litter brand before.
papan always clean and change their litterbox. he keeps clean it very well.

but, when i think of the timing i feel sick is often after he cleaning it up.
we use deodorizing clay based cat litter,
which contains chemical to help mask the smell and produces silica dust.
it’s not seem like a huge deal, but it may be.. so why not try using natural litter!
from last week, we’ve changed to all natural litter, feline pine scoop.

noa and ash are not used to the smell of pine,
they are now on a slow transition into using this new litter.
then we still need to use the old brand litter to cover it.
“after 3 to 4 changes, all cats adjust”, hopefully noa and ash can take it, too
and we can stay away from deodorizing cat litter.

PART 02: fighting cats allergy the natural way!!

have you ever heard of a “salt lamp”??
i was reading an article about the cat allergies
at love to know cats website, it introduced us a salt lamp,
“a salt lamp might provide some relief from air-borne cat dander”
a salt lamp is made of salt that comes straight from the himalayas.
the salt is heated by the bulb, it release negative ions.

it actually cleans the air that we breath via the same basic process
as those widely advertised synthetic ionizing machines..
we have a HEPA-filter air cleaner, but hey!
a salt lamp looks much better! it glows beautifully in the dark.
so, why not to try it! we just got it today! :D

looks nice huh? hope it’d really help me out with allergies.
i’ll follow up with the result in a few weeks,
it also neutralize the deleterious effects of
electronic devices like computers, and t.v.. etc..

if you’d like to read part 01 of it, click here, i wrote about perilla wine.
