when i saw the Arc de triomphe de l’Etoile the first time,
i imagined this film’s opening..
even i saw many romantic films about paris..

i had a chance to see this film again at MOMA today.

Army of Shadows is about the French resistance during World War II.
it is a sad and beautiful story..
the price of heroism can be truly horrific..
