i’ve added links to some of my favorite cat blogs!
also added link to “lucid absinthe” at the kittenish design category.

have you ever drank this? people call it as ” the green fairy”.
i just love this kittenish design of the bottle.

it’s absinthe.
i know this drink, because of numerous artists, poets and writers living
in france during the late 19th and early 20th centuries were noted
absinthe drinkers and featured absinthe in their works.
these include rimbaud, van gogh, manet, verlaine, picasso, and wilde..etc..
it’s been only a few month, since this lucid absinthe came back in U.S.. people said
“prohibition was over! (^ω^)” (i guess still traditional absinthe is illegal to sell)
this lucid absinthe doesn’t contain thujone.

the traditional way to drink this is also interesting.

im pretty sure i can’t finish this drink even a glass.
its soooo highly alcohoic like 70%… (+_+)!!
but i love the design, one day when i get an extra $$, i will buy it! hope it’s soon.. (>_<)

i got tagged by Starbuck and Torrey - The Bengal Kittens
for this meme about how my kittens got their names.

NOA & ASH

before i met noa and ash, i really wanted to live with two kittens so bad.but for some reason i had to wait for a while.. during the “without kittens” period, i dreamt having two white kittens, (coz when i was a little girl i lived with a beautiful white kitty, and i loved him soooo much.) papan and i already put names for our dream kittens, “milk and cream”.

we’d like to adopt kittens, we went to the “Adopt-A-Cat-at-the-Garden”
(this year is on oct 13 and 14 (in NYC))

we met noa & ash! who are not white kittens!
i just fell in love with ash, and papan couldn’t resist noa.

we had to think about their names!! (finally!!)
like everyone else, we had though and though about what to name them..

NOA

we named her based on her beautiful black stripes.
and papan loves “film noir” movies (French for “black film”)
we named her “noir” in-fact, we don’t really call her noir, we call her noah!
sometime we call her noahchi.

ASH

we also named her based on her nice shinning grey coat.
(in Japanese grey is “haiiro” (灰色, lit. “ash-color”)), and i loved one character called ash from japanese manga. hehe (^ω^;) we sometime call her ashlan, too.

that’s all!!

sometime my friends told me like, i had a brown tabby and a gray cat.
then i said, no no, noa was a black tabby and ash was a gray tabby.
but.. yeah? are they really?
look at ash on the below pic, she doesn’t have stripes or spots on her body fur.
what about noa, her coat is more like brownish color.. ouch.. (*_*)

((they are sooo cute together. awwww >_<!!))

anyway! according to the CAT color study..
it has four tabby patterns; classic tabby, spotted tabby, ticked tabby, and mackerel tabby.
i guess noa is more like a mackerel tabby.
(The “mackerel tabby” has narrow stripes that run in parallel lines down its sides.
Many people refer to pet cats with this mackerel tabby pattern as being a “tiger” cat.)
i called her as a black tabby, but there is no such thing, she is a brown tabby.
(The “brown tabby” has black stripes on a brownish or grayish ground color.
The black stripes may be coal black, or a little bit brownish.)
also noa has some white patterns, she is a mitted cat, and has a bib and buttons.

okay.. from now on i’d say,,
noa is a brown mackerel tabby has mittens, a bib, and buttons.

what about you, ash? are you a tabby kitten? let’s see… it says..
“All tabbies have thin pencil lines on the face, expressive markings around the eyes,
and a tabby “M” on the forehead.”

yes!! you got a tabby “M”!!

she is more like a ticked tabby.
(A “ticked tabby” (also called “Abyssinian tabby” or “agouti tabby”) does not have either stripes or spots on its body fur. This is the color of the Abyssinian cat, but it also appears in non-purebreds and does not mean the cat is Abyssinian.)

here is surprise.. she is a BLUE tabby!! (*o*)
(The “blue tabby” has gray stripes on a grayish or buff ground color. The gray stripes may be a dark slate gray, or a lighter blue-gray.)
ouch (+_+)..coz… papan and i named based on their coat colors..
noa’s real name is noir; black. ash is ash, means gray color.. well.. still they are noa and ash. it doesn’t really matter.. (^_^;)

okay so, ash is a blue tacked tabby has mittens, a bib, and buttons.

noa and ash: so… are you happy now?
maman: yeah.. silly.. (^ω^;) i.. i just want to know more about you!! (>_<)
noa and ash: don’t worry, you know us very well, so make our food!! neooow!!

we are big fan of broccoli!
yummy and good for your health, it’s a superstar veggie.
but what about the “this” part?? do you eat them??

YES, noa and ash love to eat every part of it!
somehow their favorite food is boiled broccoli.
i guess i’ve fed it them since they were baby kittens.

noa: gurrrrr!!

ash: give it to me!

ash: hmm~!! i love it ^ω^ munch munch..

but only thing bother us is when we eat broccoli,
they are so meow meow to us! (>_<)

once a week, papan & i go to a dance studio.
we’ve taking a ballroom dancing !! (゜∀゜) course at there.
it’s been a while..like four months already?!
we love it! it’s fun to dance with each other.
and plus, every week we get to learn different types of dance,
such as waltz, tango, foxtrot, cha cha, rumba.. swing… what else? oh! manbo??
anyway, it has many styles that keep us excited every time we go there.

we danced with just a regular every day shoes, i was dancing with mule sandals. (^ω^;)
but finally we got “DANCE shoes”!! YAY!!
dancing with the shoes is very comfy. even the heels are high!

yes.. shinny silver color… (^ω^;)

sure!

looks sooo cute!!
